Most of us weren’t around when President John F. Kennedy and Russian leader Nikita Khrushchev brought the world to the brink of nuclear war in the Cuban Missile Crisis. But for those who were, today’s level of anxiety over the possibility of nuclear war must feel terribly familiar. While observers and geopolitical experts may be split on whether it’s reasonable to fear nuclear war with North Korea, for most of us today, the threat of war has us on edge.
