The outdoor bustles of El Rio Grande with activity during the warmer months and the kick-ass margaritas are served all year round. The set-up of the restaurant itself is a bit bizarre. There are two entrances-the Tex and the Mex. The Tex side is more bar-ish and has a huge buffalo over the bar. The Mex is more of a restaurant-looking side. The kitchen separates these two sides and you have to walk through the kitchen in order to go from one side to the other.
Make your next private event a delicious party. No matter if you’re in Texas or Mexico, El Rio Grande can host a seated dinner, a buffet or a festive cocktail party. They serve the kick-ass margaritas and your favorite Tex-Mex, whichever side of the border you choose.
Food is good, portions are generous, fresh guacamole is delicious, service is efficient and polite. The best part of it is the margaritas. They’ve got a lot of flavors to choose from, and be warned because they’re really strong. Happy hour is getting packed during the week. If you’re in the mood for good Mexican food with good margaritas & a chilly evening, it’s a good place to check out.
Food is exceptional in a Mexican restaurant and portions are healthy. And it’s a more creative menu than you might normally see. The most favorite thing about customers is that when you ask for a guacamole, you get a real guacamole. That’s always a sign of a good restaurant, in mind. Sangria is better than average, actually better than most. Steak nachos are different from any other nachos in the area. The steak fajitas are great, too. It’s all about steak and you’re good. The quesadillas are delicious as well.
Service is, of course, almost as important, if not as the quality of food. El Rio Grande did not disappoint. The staff are very accommodating to find just the right table for any party to sit in. The staff also responds appropriately whenever a guest asks for something like powdered spices and hot sauce. They ‘re very welcoming to anyone who dines in.
