Melissa Ben-Ishay was terminated from her advertising work in 2008. Melissa has been passionate about bakery since childhood and she wanted to do what she wanted. Baked by Melissa is today well known for its bite-size, characteristic treatments. At first cupcakes were baked and sold by the company through catering firms. The first location of Baked by Melissa, beginning on November 27 2008, was the Café Bari pickup window in SoHo, Manhattan.
Ben-Ishay published his first cookbook in October 2017, “Cakes by Melissa: Life Is What You Bake It.” With the concept that without a post service trip people should be able to try more flavors, Melissa personally designs all of the baked goods and items served by Melissa’s exclusive bite-size style. Fourteen locations and ships run nationally Baked by Melissa.
If you’re in the center of town, this is a simple spot and I must admit, they are the most original cupcakes that families and friends will take home. I doubt you have had a little cupcake like that before, and isn’t it all about this? Get oooh and ahhh when you come home, along with the wide smiles!!
