The Iron Chef Behind Momosan Ramen & Sake
Chef Morimoto. Iron chef Masaharu Morimoto. Morimoto san. Momo san.
Momo san, a moniker for Chef Morimoto (Morimoto san shortened to Momo san) is not only a brand new concept, it also means Morimoto ‘s formal and formidable entrance into the ramen world.
While Momosan Ramen & Sake is his first ramen shop, Momo San himself is no stranger to the kitchen. Having grown up and improved his skills in Japan, where ramen is a staple dish, Morimoto developed early love for noodles. Bowls of ramen have been on Morimoto’s menus all over the country since 2001, well before the so-called “ramen boom” began in New York City.
At Momosan, Chef Morimoto brings his favorite food and drink from his home in Hiroshima , Japan, to his home in New York City. The noodles are at the front and center of the ramen-focused menu, and paired with playful touches of authentic Japanese comfort food and delicious sake.
Momosan Ramen & Sake offers a chance for a casual, slurp-filled Morimoto experience, without losing the quality guests of Iron Chef all over the globe.
