Customer studies, commonly referred to as consumer studies, are designed and performed to study individuals or groups and their behaviors. The studies are often performed to analyze the mental, emotional, and behavioral responses relating to a customer experience. The purpose of studying customers is to pinpoint behavioral insights that can be used to devise strategies to improve customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. In an attempt to learn more about a customer’s wants and needs, most studies collect and document a variety of information, such as the person’s personality, demographics, lifestyle, brand loyalty, brand usage, and attitude. The primary reason brands conduct customer studies is to investigate what influences a customer to behave in a certain way. Customer studies will help improve all of your marketing efforts, including online content marketing as well as your offline strategies.
